The short version

Pickleball Explained is free to use. It is run by Costa Launch LLC, which also makes and sells a pickleball course, and some of our gear links are Amazon paid links. You never need to buy anything to use our guides, quiz or cheat sheet.

Our own course: Pickleball Command

The Pickleball Command System is our own product. It is created and sold by Costa Launch LLC, the same company that runs this site, with checkout and payments handled by Hotmart. When our guides, quiz or emails mention it, we are recommending our own product, and we earn the full sale if you buy. Links to it go through our short link pickleballexplained.com/go/course, which forwards to the course page. The course is educational and does not promise a rating, ranking or match result.

Amazon Associates

Pickleball Explained is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Links to Amazon appear in the "What you'll need" boxes on our guides and on the recommended gear page, and they are marked "(paid link)". If you buy through one, Costa Launch LLC may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We do not show Amazon prices or star ratings because they change often. We do not put Amazon links in our free PDF or in our emails.

How we pick these products: items a beginner actually needs for the practice in our guides, from widely available brands, chosen from the manufacturer's specifications and our own criteria. We have not lab tested every item. Amazon does not review or approve our picks.

Independence

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by USA Pickleball, the PPA Tour, Major League Pickleball, DUPR or any paddle brand. Rules on this site are our own summaries of the 2026 USA Pickleball Official Rulebook.
